Sausage Balls

I apologize in advance to those of you who have never experienced a sausage ball. A party staple in the southern United States, these sausage balls are perfect for every event. I never thought I would see the day that I post this recipe because throughout the course of my 21 years on Earth, I presumed that everyone knew how to make them- turns out I was mistaken, so here you go.



 

SAUSAGE BALLS

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 oz. Jimmy Dean Premium Pork Sausage Roll, Regular® (Jimmy Dean Premium Pork Hot Sausage Roll® works just as well for a spicy kick! I have tried using other sausages in the past but none of them seem to match the classic taste of Jimmy Dean.)

  • 8 oz. Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese®

  • 2 cups Bisquick Original Pancake & Baking Mix®

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.

  • In a large bowl combine the sausage, cheese, and Bisquick.

  • Mix well with your hands until all of the cheese, sausage, and Bisquick has been incorporated and you can no longer see any flour.

  • Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet.

  • Bake for 20 minutes and serve.
