Pickled Red Onions

Pickled red onions are the perfect way to brighten up a variety of dishes. Whether you are making tacos, pulled pork sliders, sandwiches, or burgers, these pickled red onions are perfectly crisp and an absolutely delicious addition to your creation.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 red onions, peeled and thinly sliced

  • 1 c. water

  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • 1 tbsp. Kosher salt

  • 1/4 c. sugar (I like to use a little bit less than a 1/4 of a cup)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Tightly pack the sliced red onion into a mason jar.

  • In a pot over medium-high heat, add in the water, vinegar, salt, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and mix until the sugar is dissolved.

  • Pour the liquid over the onions and place the lid on the jar and let it cool.

  • Place in the fridge for at least an hour and then enjoy!
