Meat & Veggie Pizza Rolls

For these pizza rolls I used My Pizza Dough Recipe which can be found under the pizza tab on my page, but pre-made pizza dough works just as well! I also made homemade meatballs using my Elk Meatball recipe, but subbed the elk for ground beef. If you want meatballs without the work, pre-made also make a good substitute.

PIZZA ROLLS

INGREDIENTS:

  • My Pizza Dough Recipe, or store bought pizza dough

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

  • 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella (low moisture)

  • 1 cup spinach

  • pepperoni

  • meatballs, chopped

  • jalapeños

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat the oven to 550ºF.

  • Stretch the homemade or store-bought pizza dough out until it is about 14 inches in diameter.

  • Cut the dough into triangles and spoon pizza sauce onto the dough, being sure to avoid the edges so it will seal easily.

  • Arrange the desired toppings on top of the sauce.

  • Sealing method 1: Roll the pizza rolls in the same way that you would roll a burrito. Start by folding the bottom side of the triangle over the toppings. Next fold in both of the sides. Then, tuck and roll towards the tip of the triangle, kind of like rolling the pre-made croissants.

  • Sealing method 2: You can also seal the rolls to have that classic Hot Pocket style shape by cutting the dough into rectangles instead of triangle and rolling it exactly as you would a burrito.

  • Bake in the oven for 4-6 minutes until golden brown.

  • Serve and enjoy!
