Traditional? Not at all. Delicious? Yes.

FALL OFF THE BONE OVEN-BAKED RIBS

PREP: 10 min. COOK: 2 hr. 5 min. TOTAL: 2 hrs. 15 min.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2-2.5 lb. rack of pork ribs

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp. pepper

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1/ tsp. onion powder

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 2 tsp. chili powder

  • 1 tsp. ground mustard

  • 2 tsp. paprika

  • BBQ Sauce- my favorite

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat the oven to 300ºF.

  • Break the rack of ribs down into individual pieces/ribs.

  • Line a caking sheet with foil and place the individual ribs onto the baking sheet.

  • In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, chili powder, ground mustard, and paprika.

  • Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon onto the ribs and then cover the ribs in your spice mixture. Make sure to rub in the spices so that all parts of the ribs are covered.

  • Arrange the ribs on the baking sheet and then cover them tightly with foil and place them into the oven for about 2 hours.

  • Once you take them out of the oven, brush them with your favorite BBQ sauce.

  • Once coated in sauce, place them under the boiler for 3-5 minutes on each side. Be sure to watch them so that they do not burn, if your sauce contains a lot of sugar or honey, broil for less time.

  • Serve warm with your choice of sides and enjoy!
