It's cold here in College Station, Texas today! Thanks to my brother, we happened to have a few packages of ground elk meat (ground beef works too) and all of the essential ingredients needed to make chili. A win-win if you ask me!
ELK CHILI
PREP: 5 min. COOK: 15 min. TOTAL: 20 min.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. ground elk or beef
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 yellow onion, diced
William's Original Chili Seasoning®
1- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 cup water
Optional:
cornbread mix
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a pot, add olive oil and onion. Cook until translucent.
Add in the ground elk, or beef, are brown.
Add in tomato sauce and water. Mix to combine.
Add in 1/2 package of William's Original Chili Seasoning®. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Optional: serve with Fritos, topped with cheese and with a side of cornbread!
