Elk Chili

It's cold here in College Station, Texas today! Thanks to my brother, we happened to have a few packages of ground elk meat (ground beef works too) and all of the essential ingredients needed to make chili. A win-win if you ask me!




PREP: 5 min. COOK: 15 min. TOTAL: 20 min.



  • 1 lb. ground elk or beef

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 yellow onion, diced

  • William's Original Chili Seasoning®

  • 1- 15 oz. can tomato sauce

  • 1 cup water


  • cornbread mix


  • In a pot, add olive oil and onion. Cook until translucent.

  • Add in the ground elk, or beef, are brown.

  • Add in tomato sauce and water. Mix to combine.

  • Add in 1/2 package of William's Original Chili Seasoning®. Season with salt and pepper if needed.

  • Simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Optional: serve with Fritos, topped with cheese and with a side of cornbread!
